Set sail on an exciting and challenging partnership with Pastor Roy Phillips and Foundation Church in Soldotna, Alaska in 2025. Located on the Kenai Peninsula, Soldotna is about 3 hours southwest of Anchorage. Our team will engage in neighborhood Gospel projects, prayer walking, serving the community, support local church discipleship conferences, and develop church leadership.

Roy Phillips Jr. is a dedicated church planter with the North American Mission Board (NAMB), serving on the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska. Roy and his wife Amy, both Army veterans, have been married since 1998 and are blessed with six children: Adrienne, Nathaniel, Natalie, Matthew, Joshua, and Jonathan. Together, they are committed to serving the Lord as church planters in their community.
Foundation Church officially launched in April 2023. The church is located in a former shoe store in the local mall, which has been renovated to serve as a central hub for the community. Foundation Church aims to reach and engage the community through service, relationships, outreach, worship, and discipleship. During the harsh Alaskan winters, the church provides a safe, warm place where people can have coffee and engage in meaningful conversations about Jesus.
Foundation Church, planted and launched in 2023 in the heart of Soldotna, Alaska, desires to see lives built on Jesus Christ, the only firm foundation. The church lives out its motto, "Real People, Different Church, Same God," by actively loving and serving their neighbors. As a Southern Baptist Church affiliated with the Alaska Baptist Resource Network and a Send Network church plant, Foundation Church is committed to living out the Gospel and fostering a strong, supportive community.
