The Bible has much to say about expectations. It speaks of us living in anticipation of Christ’s return. It speaks to having reasonable/unreasonable expectations of God, others, and ourselves. It even says that it’s not unrealistic for us to have hopeful expectations of our spouse/kids. In Ephesians 5, Paul offers a number of reasonable expectations regarding life/relationships when we accept Christ as Savior and follow Him as Lord. Expectations that impact every earthly relationship.
