Hello Class of 2025!

We will recognize all of our seniors and commission them as they head into this new stage of life. Join us on May 18th during the 9:30 and 11 a.m. services.
FBC Peachtree City loves investing into the lives of our seniors. Our annual graduation service a wonderful time to celebrate their accomplishments.

Scholarships Available

Currently, there are three endowments available providing scholarship opportunities for graduating high school seniors at FBC Peachtree City:
T.J. Redmond Scholarship
Jim & Marilyn Dowell Scholarship
As our student ministry continues to grow and more graduating seniors become eligible for scholarships, we have developed a thoughtful and transparent process to ensure every deserving student is considered fairly. A student must be graduating high school senior (in good standing) and have been accepted to a college or technical school (at the time of application) to begin during the fall of the graduating year. The scholarship will be paid directly to the school for the fall semester. The student must be a church member or be active in the student ministry at First Baptist Church Peachtree City.

Step 1: Senior Eligibility

The process begins with the Student Ministry team creating a comprehensive list of eligible graduating seniors. This initial list is carefully reviewed and verified by the Family Life Ministries team and 12th-grade Life Group Leaders to ensure no eligible student is overlooked.

Step 2: Scholarship Funds

Each scholarship fund undergoes a financial review to determine the total amount available for awards. This step ensures that we maximize the impact of each scholarship while maintaining financial integrity.

Step 3: Scholarship Details

Next, we take a deep dive into the specifics of the four senior scholarships. A detailed document outlining qualifications, expectations, and selection criteria is prepared. This ensures every candidate and committee member has a clear understanding of the standards for selection.

Step 4: Nominating Team

\A nominating team is assembled, consisting of 7-11 individuals with at least two years of direct involvement in student ministry. These dedicated team members are tasked with evaluating eligible seniors and nominating three candidates per scholarship based on a combination of academic performance, church involvement, community service, and overall qualifications.

Step 5: Anonymous Nominations

To maintain impartiality, nominations are submitted anonymously by each team member. These submissions are then compiled into a master list for the next stage of review.

Step 6: Final Review and Selection

A final review team, made up of 5-7 individuals, steps in to evaluate the compiled nominations. Beyond the qualifications and criteria from earlier steps, the review team carefully considers each candidate’s character and conduct before making the final decisions.

Step 7: Celebrating the Recipients

The journey culminates on Graduation Sunday, where the final scholarship recipients are announced and celebrated. This moment reflects the hard work, dedication, and faith of our students, as well as the shared commitment of our church family to their future success.
