Pray. Give. Go. Connect.
Our mandate is clear. As followers of Jesus Christ we are called to be His witnesses across the street and around the world for the Good News which He offers to a world in need of hope, love, and a Savior. This was the compelling vision and challenge that Jesus issued to his disciples in his final instructions- a new ministry to be fueled by His power to be the heartbeat of the church in Acts and throughout church history. As a church we are to be Connecting to the Lost; and, as an Acts 1:8 church we seek to engage people through key relationships and strategic partnerships in our Jerusalem/Judea (Fayette/Coweta/South Fulton counties & Georgia), our Samaria (the remainder of the United States and Canada), and to the Ends of the Earth (throughout the world).

Key to implementing ministry in these three geographical areas are lay-directed teams which meet to pray, plan, and prepare the efforts to personalize and involve every member in the ministries which God leads our church to become connected. It is our belief that since God has called each of us to be on mission with Him, we should be open and willing to engage in ministry wherever he chooses to send us -both inside and outside the walls of our church.

Pray how you can get connected and use the resources given to you. Consider stepping out in faith on one of the mission opportunities we offer year round in our own backyard and to the earth’s far reaches. Whether you are across the street at the Bridge Community Center or in a remote village in Africa, by becoming connected you will make a difference. To learn more about any of the Acts 1:8 teams contact Walker Maginnis, Minister of Missions, at ext. 1238.
