The first area of focus for our Acts 1:8 strategy is the immediate area where God has placed us.  We believe that we are here in Peachtree City for a reason - that God has called us to be salt and light and engage in the community around our church. Because of this belief, we are intentional in finding ways to build relationships with our neighbors, co-workers, and others who live and work here.  Peachtree City is known for its beauty and affluence, but we also realize that there are many needs here both apparent and under the surface.  Our goal is simple - To show God’s love and meet these needs in order to build relationships and share Jesus Christ.  To meet this goal, our church and the Jerusalem Ministry Team have targeted key organizations and ministries in our community with which to partner.  From ministries originating from within our own church to others that we come along side, there are many opportunities for you to serve and share on an on-going basis right here at home.

Some of the ministries that our Jerusalem Team has targeted include:

The Bridge Community Center

The Bridge exists as a ministry of First Baptist Church Peachtree City, to build relationships with people by meeting expressed needs of our community so that all may have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The Bridge Community Center is a 23,000 square foot public facility with gym, multi-purpose class and meeting rooms, youth area with games and coffee/snack shop. For more information, visit www.thebridgecommunitycenter.org.

Wellspring Living

Wellspring connects a caring community with women seeking a way out of unhealthy lifestyles, while promoting healing, wholeness, independence, and family restoration through Biblical principles.  For women who are hurting and looking for a change, Wellspring is the first holistic change organization, dealing with the body, soul, and spirit.  Wellspring accomplishes this by providing a unique blend of recovery, personal development, and continuing care in order to completely transform the women, their families, and the community in which they live. Real Life Community Center

The Real Life Center exists to help those facing life's unanticipated challenges by offering hope, guidance and encouragement.  It was designed to provide help for hurting people by giving them a means to cope with the financial, emotional, and spiritual hardships of life. They provide a safe environment where each person can build relationships, receive encouragement, access needed assistance, and obtain referrals to additional community resources.  This collaboration of resources helps equip individuals and families to navigate through their situation.  For more information, visit www.reallifecenter.org.
