A PRAYER OF BLESSING
Ephesians 1:15-23
In Ephesians 1:15–23, Paul responds to the believers’ faith and love not with flattery but with intercession. He thanks God for their genuine trust in Christ and their love for others, and then continually prays that God would give them “a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.” Paul understands that spiritual maturity isn’t sustained by information alone but by illumination. Thus, his prayer centers on the eyes of one’s heart being enlightened by the Holy Spirit so that they might grasp three life-shaping realities: the hope of God’s calling, the riches of His glorious inheritance, and the immeasurable greatness of His power for all who believe.
This power is we receive through the Spirit is no ordinary power. It is the same power that raised Christ from the dead and then seated Him above every authority. The risen Christ now reigns as head over all things for the sake of His church and for all who have believed in Him. As a result, such intercession moves believers from mere awareness of doctrine to enable them to live confidently in God’s supremacy and care because to know Christ personally is to see life differently—anchored in hope, strengthened by power, and secure under His authority.

You are part of His treasured people and a royal priesthood. Decide to live our of your new identity in Christ that flows from belonging to Him.
Rely Solely on His Resurrection Power instead of Your Human Ability and Ingenuity
The strength available to believers is not theoretical; it is the same power that raised Christ from the dead. Plug into this power source through the abiding life and watch God move in and through you for His glory and your good.
Submit to Christ’s Authority with Confidence

Closing Prayer
Father, open the eyes of my heart to know You more deeply. Help me live in the hope of Your calling, the richness of Your inheritance, and the power of Christ’s resurrection. Teach me to rely on Your strength and trust in Your sovereign rule. Shape my life through the wisdom that comes from knowing You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
