SOWING AND REAPING
Galatians 6:7-10
In Galatians 6:7–10, Paul reminds believers of a sobering yet hope-filled principle: “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.” Life operates under a moral and spiritual order established by God that is as certain as the Law of Gravity. Choices are seeds, and seeds produce harvests. To sow to the flesh—living for self, comfort, and sin—leads to corruption and destruction. To sow to the Spirit—investing in obedience, love, and truth—leads to eternal life.
Paul’s emphasis isn’t merely on consequence but on perseverance and priority. The harvest is often delayed, which tempts discouragement. Yet he urges believers not to grow weary in doing good, because in due season the fruit will come if we don’t lose heart by remaining faithful to plow and plant the truth. Thus, the law of sowing and reaping isn’t mechanical karma but relational wisdom—God sees, God remembers, and God brings growth in His time. So, we are called to actively do good towards all people, but especially toward our fellow believers, trusting that our Spirit-shaped investments will yield both earthly and eternal dividends.

Application
Recognize that Every Decision Plants a Seed
Daily decisions aren’t neutral—they shape the future of our character and influence. Every single choice we make, whether personal or communal has a ripple effect impacting our soul and the lives of others.
Sow Intentionally Toward the Spirit
Invest in practices that align with God’s Word and will. Small acts of obedience will produce lasting fruit that will bring encouragement and life to self and to others.
Refuse to Grow Weary in Doing Good
No matter how others may behave and act around you, remain faithful to following in the footsteps of Jesus doing right and loving others. Your faithfulness today will prepare you for His blessing tomorrow.
Trust God’s Timing for Results
Growth rarely appears overnight. Nonetheless, we have to allow the Holy Spirit to work patiently in us, in others, and in our circumstances for we don’t truly know what God is up to beneath the surface.
Extend Goodness Especially within the Family of Faith
Loving fellow believers strengthens the body. While we’re called to share God’s love with the world, it begins by loving one another in Christ. Spiritual harvest grows through shared care.

Closing Prayer
Father, remind me that my choices today shape tomorrow’s harvest. Strengthen me to sow toward the Spirit and not grow weary in doing good. Help me trust Your timing when fruit seems slow to appear. Use my life to bless others and bring glory to You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
